What Attracts Stinging Insects?
Stinging insects are attracted to many gardens, flower beds, and other places where plants are abundant. Also, they are attracted to shady areas, so roof overhangs, garages, and other locations in and around your house can be prime targets for many types of stinging insects.
They live in Nests, the ground, wood, colonies and hives
Many of these insects feed on nectar or other sweet-smelling foods such as fallen fruit and sugary drinks. Others may also eat meat, other insects, or oils.
These pests are especially active during the second half of summer and early fall when the colonies forage for food that will sustain their queens during the winter.
